I'll make this quick, maybe. I'll revise this later
So on Saturday 18 2009 the dA world tour stopped at their hometown here in CA. It was held at Echo Park at 2 in the afternoon. At first I was kinda hesitant on going because I didn't know anybody else there, until I found out a friend of mine

and his little brother

was gonna be there. So because it was just nearby and the fact that I've passed Echo Park hundreds of times to get to my college, I figured it wouldn't be so bad.
The day started off just getting our nametags, I got mine from

, and she said she liked my shirt that was this ~>

. We then got our group picture taken, split up to groups, i went to the traditional art, talked a little, then I noticed someone familiar, but I wasn't sure if I was right. I waited until he added his nametag and I knew for sure I needed a photo with him and get his autograph. It was

!!! That was so cool. I've seen a lot of his work before, but never had the chance to devwatch him. I was able to get a picture, and also a quick drawing of a Headbust of Spiderman, Danny got a Hellboy one. I got to chill with Sean for a little while and got to meet his friend

and Howard Shum, got both their autographs and Mr Shum even gave me a free preview of their comic Gun Fu and signed it himself
Later

gave us the info on the groups, search engine, and all that other good stuff that was going to be on dA. I was able to get a picture with him and asked why they weren't there for Anime Expo this year. He was a pretty cool normal guy, all of the admins and moderators were really. The day went on and I met some awesome people, you know who you are.

I even got to get a snow cone with Spyed the co-founder himself which was pretty funny for me. People died down around 6 and the rest of them played this huge Frisbee thing, took some shots of that and left around 7:30.
Overall the day was better than I imagined and I think I'm finally getting that motivation to work harder as an artist. Meeting these new people who were just like me made me realize that although the economy is going down, they still work hard and are still passionate enough to do what they love for the sake of love itself.

The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle. (Anais Nin)
